Rachel Rector Spring Collection '13 from Jeff Goldstein on Vimeo.
Hello, friends! Today I'm joyful to debut the Rachel Rector Spring/Summer 13' Collection and first-ever video lookbook. When Jeff Goldstein of Pardon Media suggested the idea to me a few weeks back, I only had a few panty samples to show. But, the thrill of creating a short film inspired me to make a more complete collection of panties, bras, bodysuits, and pasties! Playing designer, seamstress, creative director, hair+makeup, & actress/model alongside Jeff and Sarah-Ray was a positive and invigorating experience. I'm really proud of the effort we put into this video and thank you all for your support! And a big thank you to Jeff for his filmmaking skills and to Sarah-Ray for being an awesome creative sidekick!
The Rachel Rector lingerie line is still very much a work in progress. I'm fine tuning my sewing/patternmaking techniques and won't feel comfortable trying to sell it until I can be totally confident with fit and quality. I plan to expand the size range in the future and hope you will stay tuned!
PS. I admit, the notion of letting the internet see us dance in underwear made me very hesitant. It was incredibly hard to approve the video without feeling too self conscious in a world of "body snarks" who will tear a person of any size/weight/body type apart. Please be respectful when viewing this video.

Rachel! It's SO beautiful. I'm always afraid of trying on lingerie b/c I think I'll look and feel awkward but I think your designs are a great combination of sexy and fun. I can't wait till you start selling them!! :)
This is just beautiful- the film, the lingerie, the feel of it all, and you two. Don't be self conscious. Be proud.
